To take a course:
- On the first page of the course, click on the first lesson in the Course Content table.
- After reading the lesson introduction, click on the first topic in the Lesson Topics table.
- When you finish reading a lesson topic, click on the Mark complete button to advance to the next lesson topic:
- Take the quiz at the end of each lesson. Question types include multiple choice, true or false, and drag-and-drop matching. You must score 80 percent or higher on a quiz to move to the next lesson.

This course builds on what you learned in the two prerequisite classes: Introduction to DITA and The DITA concept topic type. While the top-level elements in a task topic will be new to you, many of these elements can contain elements you have learned about in the previous classes.
The DITA reference and glossary topic types
This four-lesson course introduces you to the DITA reference, glossary entry, and glossary group topic types.
This course builds on what you learned in the three prerequisite classes: Introduction to DITA, The DITA concept topic type, and The DITA task topic type.
While the top-level elements in the reference and glossary topics will be new to you, many of these elements can contain elements you have learned about in the previous classes.
Using DITA maps and bookmaps
This four-lesson course introduces you to DITA maps and bookmaps.
This course builds on what you learned in the four preceding classes: Introduction to DITA, The DITA concept topic type, The DITA task topic type, and The DITA reference and glossary topic types.
We encourage you to complete the other classes before taking this class.
Introduction to reuse in DITA
This four-lesson course introduces you to general reuse concepts in DITA, how to create reusable topics and maps, and how fragment-type reuse works in DITA.
This course builds on what you learned in the five preceding courses: Introduction to DITA, The DITA concept topic type, The DITA task topic type, The DITA reference and glossary topic types, and Using DITA maps and bookmaps.

Advanced reuse in DITA
This three-lesson course describes additional reuse facilities provided in DITA. It rounds out the DITA reuse information presented in the preceding course, Introduction to reuse in DITA.
